Only twenty minutes west of the central city is one of Auckland's more picturesque country golf courses. Huapai is surrounded by farmland and stretches through to the upper reaches of the Waitemata Harbour at Harkins Point.
With virtually no traffic noise, Huapai Golf Club provides a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. You are playing right in the country without having to travel far. The course is quiet and picturesque, surrounded by farmland and is not too physically challenging thus encouraging players to take a trundler and enjoy the walk rather than drive a cart. For those preferring something more leisurely, carts, and clubs, can be hired from the pro shop.
The fairways are quite generous and provide breath taking views of the harbour after you make your way through to the ninth.
The Club boasts facilities in keeping with what you would expect from one of Auckland's better-known clubs. A spacious Club-house beside the 18th green provides the ideal location to finish off a round. Refreshments, snacks and meals are available. The Clubs lounge bar is well stocked and caters for the needs of all.
Before a round, players can take advantage of the practise facilities before tuning the putter up next to the 1st tee. The well-stocked golf shop can provide all that's needed to make the whole experience what you would expect. Trundlers, electric carts, club hire, new and used club sales and the latest fashion accessories can all be found there.
The Club's restaurant and bar area caters for up to 200 diners and offers everything from a "coffee on the go" to full meals. The caterers can assist with the catering needs of corporate groups with menus tailored to the client's requirements.
There's plenty of parking for even the largest groups and the locker room facilities are well maintained.
